Announcing the nominees was popular on air duo, Nick Mutuma of Mashariki Mix and Sika Osei of 53
Extra during a special live broadcast on all Africa Magic and Maisha Magic
channels. With them in the studio to discuss the quality of this year’s entries
was renowned writer, filmmaker and AMVCA judge, Mr. Femi Odugbemi.
Last night at the nomination party of 2015 Africa Magic
Video Choice Awards (AMVCA) 2015, multiple award winning and prolific filmmaker
Kunle Afolayan’s new film, October 1 broke record of award nominations with 13
categories. It was like a dream to both the producer and cast to hear that
October 1 has been nominated in 13 different categories, as celebration followed
