Chocolate City's Strides In 2014

"From Ice Prince to Dice Ailes Chocolate City artists put out a lot of strong content this year from songs like Jambo, Whiskey, N Word remix, Shots on Shots, Can I Talk? & That Could Be Us by Ice Prince who continued promoting his sophomore album Fire of Zamani, the singles "Prokoto" & "Show" by Victoria Kimani, Crush and Buckle Up by DJ Caise, Fantasy and Telephone by Dice Ailes to King James by M.I Abaga. M.I Abaga and Nosa released iconic albums this year; the Chairman by M.I has received rave reviews around the continent while Nosa's debut Open Doors has created for him a huge fan base and followers of his music.

Chocolate City artists were involved in some of the biggest events and programs that ran last year; Ice Prince headlined at events like Music Meets Runway, Sound City Blast, Corporate Elite Nite Concert and The Liverpool International Music Festival, Nosa performed at some of the biggest Churches in Nigeria and was given an audience at the Aso Rock villa on the 1st of October while Victoria Kimani participated in the One Campaign which featured some of the biggest musicians across Africa. DJ Caise was on tour across Nigeria with some of the biggest brands like Hennessey, Unilever and Nigerian Breweries & M.I went on to headline major events like Star Trek, the Big Brother Africa Finale, Rhythm Unplugged 2014 and The Lagos Jazz Series.

On Social Media platforms artists like MI and Ice Prince continued to grow their influence across the continent as they both became the first Hip Hop acts in Africa to hit half a million followers this year on Twitter, Ice Prince has gone closer and closer to 1million fans on Facebook while other Chocolate City artists have continued building their numbers and continued growing their fan base.

There were a lot of additions to this growing family and even more achievements. We added Afro Beat Legend Femi Kuti into our ranks in an exclusive management deal in Nigeria and we also signed fresh talent Dice Ailes.
