JUMIA is official sponsor of “Dîner en Blanc”

The trendiest secret event of international megalopolises announces sponsorship with Africa's leading online marketplace

Abidjan, 5th December 2014 - In cooperation with Jumia Côte d'Ivoire, Ivory Coast's leading online shopping place, Abidjan's Dîner en Blanc launches its third edition this year on Saturday, December 6, 2014.

What is the idea of "Dîner en Blanc"?

Dîner en Blanc was luckily yet unintentionally created by François Pasquier in 1988, in Paris, where Monsieur Pasquier spontaneously moved his party guests from his overfilled garden to a park nearby. As a result, every year in June a picnic would be arranged at a - undisclosed to the last - public location in Paris and all attendees must be fully dressed in white.
Voilà, Diner en Blanc was born. The thought of a world-wide distribution has been taken up by the son of the founder, Aymeric Pasquier. His intention is to build a network in which all cities act together and share the concept of a white dinner. With great success: Diner en Blanc counts more than 150,000 participants in 40 partaking cities worldwide, reaching from New York City to Mexico City, Singapore, Barcelona, and now Abidjan!
