songs as the artiste prepares to take his pride of place on the local music

Munachi
Abii
Though she’s been of the
scene for a while, rapper, hip-hop artist, songwriter, pageant winner,
television presenter and model who performs under the name Muna is set to take
2015 by storm with new singles and projects.
The ex-beauty queen who is
an Owerri-native was born and raised in Port Harcourt. Muna was encouraged by
her family to pursue her passion for music and arts. After obtaining her
O’Level qualifications from Federal Government Girls College Abuloma, she
studied International relations and Diplomacy at the Benson Idahosa University

Born and raised in Port
Harcourt, Owerri-native Muna was encouraged by her family to pursue her passion
for music and arts. Prior to winning MBGN, Muna had performed as part of Port
Harcourt-based rap group The Specimen A, and collaborated with Terry da Rapman
on the critically acclaimed song ‘My PH Girl’.
In June 2010, after years of
collaborating with various artistes, Muna signed a multi-year management
contract with Ayo Shonaiya’s RMG Company and started working on her debut album
The Goddess, The Hustler, which will include the singles I Feel Real, and
Killer Queen. Muna continues to collaborate with other hip hop artistes; in
early 2011, she wrote the lyrics and featured on Waje‘s hit single So Inspired
and also appeared in rapper Suspect’s video for the song ‘I No Send You’.

rappers to feature and represent Nigeria on the globally televised BET Cypher
for the BET Awards in 2011, and in April 2012, Muna released two singles ‘Here

After emerging as one
of the dominant artistes at the recently staged Headies, Patoranking is gearing
up to further take 2015 by storm with the release of his anticipated debut
album.
With a successful
debut single that had music lovers and followers doing a double take and
talking about him with visible excitement and expectations, Patrick Nnaemeka
Okorie, the dancehall/reggae sensation popularly known as Patoranking has
promised that his best is yet to come.
According to the
gangling young man, “I am taking the gospel of Nigerian dancehall music to the
world.” At a time when the airwaves had become saturated with hurriedly made
songs made popular by danceable beats, Patoranking dropped a feel-good
dancehall song, Alubarika, featuring Timaya.
But the song did not
become a monstrous hit because he featured Timaya, whose vocal authority on it
cannot be overemphasised. Alubarika wormed its way into the hearts and
consciousness of music lovers because of the strength and tenor of
Patoranking’s voice and the depth and melody of his lyrics.
It didn’t come as a
surprise too when two of his other tracks Girlie O and Happy Day became a
delight to many of his listeners who are drooling over his style of delivery
and mesmerising lyrics.
