Once again Nodash earns his title as
Nigeria’s most unusual filmmaker with the release of the first ever musical
satire titled Good People Dead.
If you ever thought you were powerless as a Nigerian,
after watching this video you will feel like a warrior. Nodash produces a short
film that uses music and incredibly good cinematography to tell the story of
where we are as Nigerians and what we need to do to get out of the hoods.
The song is deep and well written, the
cinematography is amazing and the directing is incredible.
According to Nodash, Nigerians are willing to
do what they need to do to change the country for good but are at a loss as to
how to go about it and that is where the Good People Dead Video comes in.
"I used to be one of those people who
only cared about their personal prosperity; whatever happened to the country
was none of my business. The thought bothered me for a while but now I
understand that if only we had more people who are willing to do their own
part, then the country will change for good.
"So I asked myself, what can I do? I am
a filmmaker, not a president, governor or senator, so what can I do? I know I
may not have the power to change policies or contest in the next elections but
I am a damn good storyteller. So I decided to tell a short story with this
music video.
"My rationale was that if we can inspire
young people, then we are halfway towards changing the country. Young people
are most influenced by videos and music so I decided to do something that has
never been done in Nigeria in the form of a musical video satire which is
already sparking change in some quarters." Nodash informed.
