Corp Members Charged To Embrace Community Service

Chief Sam Ifeanyichukwu Onuigbo, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flag bearer for Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal constituency has called on the out-gone Batch A corp members of Ambassador's Model College Obuohia in Obi-Ibere to make community development an inherent part of them.

The PDP Chieftain made this call during the passing out/sent forth ceremony organised by Chief Sam Onuigbo in collaboration with the management of the college over the weekend at Obuohia Obi-Ibere, in Ikwuano Local Government Abia State. He further charged them to always utilise every opportunity tilted towards community service. And that they do not need to occupy high positions in order to create impact in their world.

"I appreciate your contributions toward the growth of Ambassadors college. Batch B and C, I believe you must have learnt a lot from your predecessors.You do not have to wait to be Chairmen, Governors even Counsellors before you create an impact in your community. I urge you to continue your good work".

Chief Sam however stressed on how elated he is with the increasing number of corp members the school has received in recent times. In addition, in a way of giving an academic prodding to the students, the Chieftain promises to give Tertiary institution scholarship to students who passed through the school from Junior Secondary School to Senior Secondary school.

In a related development, the Chairman of the occasion Chief Stanley Ijenwa added that he is so proud of the fact that a monumental event of such nature has been going on in Obuohia Obi-Ibere community for some time. And that the essence of the gathering was borne out of education, which he describes as light to the community. More so, that the corp members are being sent forth to the labour market to become resourceful and useful to themselves and the society.

"We are very proud and happy with you. We are here to celebrate education. If it is not the love Chief Sam Onuigbo has for education, we will not be here today. I want you corp members to know that you have served humanity"

In addition, Iserhienrhien Moses, President Out gone corp members the Ambassadors Model College, commended Chief Sam Onuigbo over his continued unalloyed supports to the corp members in the earlier said community. And that the Chieftain has exerted efforts geared towards making the school an enabling environment for learning and it's assimilation, and a citadel for quality education.

"I want to thank God for helping us serve our father land successfully in Obuohia. I also want to thank Chief Sam Onuigbo for his financial support and otherwise to corpers in this community. His love for education, is the reason why Ambassadors Model College is still functional."

Moses however added that the Chieftain's knack as regards youth empowerment is unquantifiable. In that, during one of his youths empowerment fora, he spurred the youths to action, by asking them to start small in order to be self reliant and carve an impeccable niche in their careers.

Also speaking at the event, on behalf of the campaign team Chief Uche Francis Mpama Commissioner in ASOPADEC and PDP Chieftain bids the out-gone corpers farewell. And that the bedrock which National Youths Service Corp rests upon which is the integration of people from different ethnicity has not been flouted. Chief Mpama added that nostalgically, corp members usually at the end of service year often grimace over passing out. More so, he pledges to give his total support in ensuring Chief Sam Onuigbo and other candidates running under PDP platform are delivered.

Corroboratively, Chief Ekeleme Ikeiji the PDP candidate for Ikwuano State constituency at Abia state Assembly added that the greatest gift that should be given to a man, is education. And that he salute the effort and courage of the corp members for not relocating rather accepted to do their primary assignments in a rural area like Obi-Ibere.

More so, the Chieftain went further to buttress his purview according to biblical injuction, the world is created in a manner that has seed time and harvest time. He added that they will harvest every good seeds they have sowed on the students.

Furthermore, National Secretary Obuohia Ibere Development Union (Women wig) Mrs Love Onwualiba urged the students to see corp members as their role model. And to always portray good attitudes at all time as leaders of tomorrow. In order to depict to the people how appreciative they are, she presented food items to the out-gone corp members.
Concluding, Engr Akobundu Oriakwu erstwhile National President the , Obuohia Development Union (ODU) enjoined the people to get their Permanent Voters Card ready. And that their vote is their voice, power and their right.
