The 2nd edition of the #YTech100, a gathering aimed at celebrating the
brightest and best in Nigeria's technology space held yesterday at Terra Kulture 27 February, 2015. This year's event tagged "What's Africa's
Next Wave?" featured speeches from the CEO of Diamond Bank Plc, Uzoma
Dozie and MD of Internet Solutions Ltd, Olusola Teniola.
An interesting segment of the event was a panel discussion session
featuring the MD of Jovago Nigeria, Marek Zmyslowski, MD of Lamudi
Nigeria, Obi Ejimofo, Founder of Futuresoft Nigeria, Nkem Uwaje and
Editor of Techcabal, Bankole Oluwafemi, who shared ideas on what Africa's next wave in technology should be.
The highlight of the night was the presentation of certificates to the 100 deserving change-makers in the Nigerian technology industry. Some of
which included Gbenga Sesan, Executive Director of Paradigm Initiative Nigeria, Jason Njoku, Co-founder of Iroko TV, Bankole Cardoso of
EasyTaxi Nigeria, Mark Essien, Founder of Hotels.ng, Seun Onigbinde of
Budgit and Opeyemi Awoyemi, Co-founder of Jobberman.
The cocktail event was hosted by YNaija. Other partners are Laredo
International and Blossom Bakers' House.
