Search For Next Afrobeat Star Begins

Budding Afrobeat musicians now have the chance to take their dreams to the next level as the search for the Next Afrobeat Star competition kick-starts.

 

With the competition now opened in Africa, up-coming Afrobeat talents can upload an original track and a quick 30 second video introducing themselves and their story online to https://www.famemusic.com/competition/details/afrobeats-search-for-a-star to be part of the whole process.

 

15 semi-finalists will be announced on 16th March via fame music website. The Top 15 will then be asked to upload another original song, with the winner being chosen and revealed by the exclusive panel of top industry judges on the 30th March.

 

 

The carefully selected panel of judges includes BET/MTV/Mobo Award Winning rapper Iceprince, critically acclaimed Award winning Afrobeats Queen May7ven, Pioneering urban radio presenter and DJ Abrantee, and one of the most sought after producers in Ghana Mix Masta Garzy.

 

The eventual winner will receive a range of prizes, including being flown to London to produce their track with renowned Ghanaian producer Mix Masta Garzy, having their song played on the UK’s biggest Afrobeats Show by DJ Abrantee on Capital Xtra, a live performance at the world famous Jazz Café, Camden for Afrobeats Live, plus an international release of the track facilitated by Fame Music.
