There will be top notch performances this weekend by some of the country’s top artists at Club XO when the Johnnie Walker Black Podium party experience takes on Abuja.
The event will welcome reggae-dancehall master Burna Boy, joined by City FM’s SenseiUche as well as breath-taking contortionist act, D&R, dancers, a saxophonist and Abuja’s Cool FM DJ Ttb.
Having released his most recent hit, “Check & Balance” late last year, Burna Boy traveled to South Africa earlier this year where he worked with the country’s top hip hop star, D.A. Les. Contortionist group, D&R, meanwhile, wowed the crowd at the Johnnie Walker Black Podium event in Lagos last weekend.
“This is the first time we are taking a big Black Podium event outside of Lagos so it's Abuja's turn to take the next step up. Black Podium blends the most popular artists and performers so Abuja can look forward to a a truly distinctive and rich experience,” says Liz Ashdown, Head of Marketing, Spirits and RTD at Diageo Brands Nigeria.
Other Black Podium events taking place this weekend
include Boom Nightclub, Owerri and Bolex Lounge, Bayelsa on Friday, March 20 as
well as Goodfellas Lounge, Asaba, and Cosmo Lounge, Port Harcourt, on Saturday,
March 21.
Along with exciting line-ups of live music and entertainment, each guest also participates in an exclusive Johnnie Walker tasting experience. Doors open at venues from 10pm till late.
