Industry players, medical experts, invited guests and pressmen all gathered to witness the official media launch of the Nigerian Entertainment Industry Health Insurance Scheme (NEIHIS), on Tuesday March 3rd, 2015 at Inner Crockpot of Sheraton Hotel, Lagos.
Present at the launch were industry stakeholders and
players such as Tony Okoroji, Efe Omoregbe, Patrick Doyle, Yemi Solade, Sam
Onyemelukwe, Gbenga Adeyinka, DJ Gosporella, Capital FEMI, Nigga Raw, Koffi
(the anchor at the launch), Ara, the brain behind the scheme, Seun Apara and
many more.
The launch which had a panel of medical experts such as Mr
Tosin Awosika (MD Healthcare International), Dr. Akere of United Healthcare and
Dr Dada also of the United Healthcare platform all spoke extensively on the
effort put in place alongside the initiator for the scheme to see the light of
day.
The other panel consisted of players in the entertainment
industry such as Patrick Doyle, Gbenga Adeyinka, Tony Okoroji, Efe Omoregbe and
Yemi Solade. The panelists made it a point of duty to call on their other colleagues
to take advantage of the scheme.
NEIHIS is a privately designed customized scheme approved
by the Federal government of Nigeria through the National Health Insurance
Scheme (NHIS) for the entertainment/media industry to forestall avoidable
deaths and to provide proper cover for the entire entertainment industry
practitioners all over the country.
Presently, more than 350 NHIS accredited hospitals have
been listed on this scheme and entertainers/media practitioners can now enjoin
quality and affordable healthcare all over Nigeria.
