U.K-based leading Juju musician, Sunday Adeola Ogunyemi, fondly referred to as Sunny Melody by his fans has established a foundation for budding music talents in Nigeria, especially the ones from Ogun State.
Speaking about the new
initiative, ‘The Sunny Melody Foundation’, Sunny Melody said “Music is not just about singing alone, some
define music as vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a
way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion, others
define music as "The art of arranging sounds in time so as to produce a continuous,
unified, and evocative composition, as through melody, harmony, rhythm, and
timbre or Vocal or instrumental sounds possessing a degree of melody,
harmony, or rhythm".
Therefore, as part of our
desire to lend our voice and contribute to youth empowerment and development,
Sunny Melody Organisation is engaged in a project that help to harness
talents in the music industry and bring same to fore, this is done though
training of these talents in various fields of music such as voice
training, major musical instruments training(keyboard, guitar, sax,
drums), sound engineering, stage management, etc. this programme is
conceived mainly to help youths especially of Ogun state extraction in other to
live the saying ' charity begins at home'.
The objective of the
charity project is to develop talented Indigenes of Ogun State origin towards
actualising their dreams in the area of music, by developing
their music skills, to further learn to play a wide range of musical instruments.
