US Confers IVLP Fellowship On Young Nigerian

Abiola Salami (popularly known as Mr. Champ) has been nominated for the United States Government’s International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP). The gesture was handed to him in recognition of his contributions to Youth Leadership, Women Empowerment & Human Capital Development in Nigeria.

With this fellowship, Abiola will be exploring youth leadership and civic engagement programs at the federal level in Washington DC, meeting with Legislators on Capitol Hill. Also, he is scheduled to meet with leaders of the Legislative Houses in Ohio, Kentucky and Wisconsin.

Also, Abiola will be meeting with Senior Executives of over fifty US Based organisations across six states in the United States while also studying model programs that promote civic awareness and youth leadership in a variety of contexts such as schools, colleges, associations, youth clubs, sports programs, arts programs, interfaith-initiatives, and political advocacy.

In an interview with Abiola Salami discussing the IVLP Fellowship, he said “I am grateful to the US Government for this nomination. I believe the experience will empower me to better serve the Nigerian Youth and position them to become Champions of Change in their businesses, organisations and communities.”

Sources close to Abiola’s office said upon his return, he will debut a bespoke 1hour daily inspirational and syndicated Radio Program, specially designed as a platform for preparing, inspiring and equipping Young People for daily improvement tagged “It’s All About You”. This will be a good opportunity for forward looking brands as the radio show is targeted to engage millions of people daily.
