British Nigerian Hip-Hop
and Afrobeat artiste Breis (pronounced Breeze) is gaining gradual attention
with his brand new single The Right Person which features Soul singer,
songwriter and composer Ebisan.
Produced by
award-winning beat maker, Dr. Frabz, the track which was premiered recently is
currently receiving appreciable airplay on Rhythm FM, Beat FM, Cool FM, City FM
and Top Radio and other leading radio stations across Nigeria.
The song sees Breis wittingly
and humorously speaking about wanting to be in love with the right person and
not giving in to the pressure that relatives put on their wards to get married.
Speaking about the
inspiration behind ‘The Right Person’, Breis said, “I wrote the song to address
the biggest obsession of our parents - marriage. The pressure to be married in
some cultures can be really overwhelming at times and I wanted to express the
fact that yes marriage is beautiful but people have to get there without that
constant external pressure”.
The bubbly artiste is
set for an international tour which will kick-off at the Afro-Pfingsten Festival
in Switzerland on May 24. With tour stops at the Lagos Jazz Festival, London’s
Cally Festival and the Pleins Feux Festival in France, before ending on July 25
at Soria in Spain, Breis is set for a very busy months ahead as he spreads his
unique fusion of Hip Hop, Soul and Afrobeats to teeming listeners across the
globe.
