Nigerian Celebrities Congratulate Buhari


 



The much expected Presidential elections have come and gone but reactions and celebration still trail the emergence of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari as the President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Nigerian entertainment stars are not left out of the frenzy that pervades the air considering the fact that ever since the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Buhari as winner of the Presidential election staged last Saturday, more entertainers have continued to shower Buhari with warm wishes.

Social media went abuzz as some of the stars took to various social media platforms to comment on the elections and the sportsmanship spirit displayed also by President Goodluck Jonathan who was humble enough to accept defeat before the official results were announced by INEC.

Some of the comments of popular entertainment personalities who expressed their wishes to the new President are captured below:

Popular radio and TV presenter, IK Osakioduwa stated, "Congratulations to all Nigerians. Today, we have shown that we are able to have differing opinions but still maintain our respect for choice."

‘African Queen’ crooner, 2face Idibia said, "I want to say congrats to these 2 true Nigerians. Congratulations to GEJ for (conducting) the most free and fairest elections in Naija (Nigeria) and congratulations to GMB as the new president-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Long live Nigeria!!! No go kill yourself for anybody, maximum respect to Prof. Jega."

Fair-skinned Nollywood actress, Rita Dominic, said, "Congratulations to General Muhammadu Buhari. Thanks President Jonathan for conceding honourably. God bless Nigeria."

Soul singer, Asa, tweeted, "I am proud of my country! Nigeria decided in peace. Congratulations to president elect Gen Buhari. Thank you President Jonathan for conceding honourably."

Sean Tizzle, said, "Up All Progressives Congress of Nigeria. The winning team is in the building!!! It is time to bring out your brooms and clean up this mess!!!"

Michael Collins also known as Don Jazzy wrote, "I respect President Goodluck Jonathan for taking the result well, sha... God bless."

On the part of ‘Kokomaster’ D’Banj, he wrote, "I have never been more proud to be a Nigerian than this Moment! History has been made. I am definitely feeling the nation!"
