Fast rising movie
producer cum actor Segun Bankole a.k.a Banky is about now gearing up for the
official movie launch of his latest movie project titled Ibinu Omo Ita (vexation of an area boy) which will be unveiled today
at the expansive premises of Double Deuce Hotel in Lagos.
The talented actor who
has featured in movie productions such as Mr
White, Adanwunla, Agbena, Meta Meta and many more bespoke movie productions also doubles as
the Chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers Association of Nigeria
(NURTWA), Ijaiye-Ojokoro Park.
The bulky thespian who boasts
of having over 10 years of acting experience under his belt on the local movie
scene is upbeat about the acceptance of the movie which is about the story of a
young man who left the village for the city of Lagos in search of livelihood
but got into trouble with a rival gang while trying to help the wife of a
police commissioner who was about to be robbed.
“The movie preaches
against jungle justice and the fact that some area boys are particular about
the security and safety of fellow humans. This movie is my first major
production and for now I am talking to a few marketers to see how we
effectively market and distribute the movie effectively. I am looking forward
to the launch much so as I enjoin well meaning Nigerian’s to patronize the
movie as it is sure worth their viewing,” Banky said.
The movie which is
produced on the platform of Banky Film Productions promises to keep viewers on
the edges of their seats while also offering value for money for those who may
be tempted to pick up a copy of the movie.
The much anticipated
movie launch will witness exciting performances from musicians like: Remi
Aluko, Gboge Raiye-Ayinde and Oyanma Azeez. Nollywood actors that are expected
to attend the launch include Banky Show, Kelvin Ikeduba, Don Richard and Austin
Emmanuel among others.
Also expected to grace
the event is the Father of the Day, Oba Rilwan Lambe, Hon. Carry Go, Hon.
Olabinjo and Kehinde Babalola a.k.a Jasper.
