World Bank MD Commends D'Banj

 

D'Banj has decided to devote this year (2015) to the African Union's year of Women's empowerment, encouraging global artist to raise awareness about poverty and other related issues. World Bank MD, Jim Kim has commended D'Banj for this devotion to the said cause among his others efforts.

"I recently met with one of Nigeria's dynamic musicians, the singer-songwriter, D'Banj. Last year, he spearheaded a campaign urging African governments to increase their investment in agriculture. This year, he is devoting his attention to the Africa Union's Year of Women Empowerment. I am honored D'Banj is the first artiste to participate in our series,"#Music4Dev", encouraging global artists to raise awareness about poverty and related issues."
