Hip hop singer, Jahbless has explained how he escaped
from the jaws of death when his car rammed into a station truck last week. The
soft-spoken musician escaped death in early hours of Thursday 4th of June, when
his Mercedes Benz R350 driven by his road manager Mr. Damola Adetunji crashed
into a stationary truck laden with granite on Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria
Island.
Jahbless was returning from the weekly Industry Night
get-together at Spice Route when the unfortunate incident occurred. The artist
had taken a decision to ride in another car in his convoy in the company of his
Business Manager, Mr. Babalola Idowu.
“It was raining heavily and our car rammed into a truck
which was parked indiscriminately on the road without functional parking
lights, caution signs, or reflective stickers.
“Damola, who drove the car with registration number AAA
158 CM, is severely injured and was treated at St. Nicholas hospital on the
island, while the other occupant of the
car was treated for slight injuries on the arm. Damola has since been
transferred to the Ondo State Trauma Centre Headed by Dr. Oluwole Ige and
adjudged to be one of the best Trauma centres in the entire Sub-Saharan African
region.” Jahbless said.
Jahbless a.k.a ‘Olori Ebi’ who is signed on to JE Records
and recently released his star-studded third studio album "I am Me",
expressed gratitude to God for sparing his life and called on fans and
well-wishers to pray for Damola’s speedy recovery.
