Mass-media Should Promote Gospel Music -Prophet Funmilade-Joel

Following the over promotion of secular music and the seeming under promotion of gospel music Prophet Oladipupo Funmilade – Joel has decried the little space the mass-media
(electronic and print) has been given to the promotion of gospel music in Nigeria, unlike it is done with other music genres, such as club rhythm and dance hall.
The gospel music promoter, critic and minister of God who is popularly called Baba Sekunderin further noted that gospel music and Christian songs need to be promoted more, as it impacts the lives of the people more, because of the message behind it.
The President, The Way of Reconciliation Evangelistic Ministries
(TWOREM) Int'l a.k.a (Prophetic & Solution chapel), Lagos, Nigeria, also called for a change from the owners of the mass-media (that is, it should not be only Sundays, that gospel music is given attention)
The cleric added that a good gospel music addresses the spiritual and physical needs of the people as it is capable of healing, deliverance from oppression, obsession and depression, as well as enhances forgiveness.
He also stressed that, gospel music paves the way for good preaching and prayer and really, gospel music in Nigeria, lacks promotion, and also being ignored, but, it is so potent, as it has great impact in the lives of the people, for there is a spirit behind every song and that spirit helps God to express Himself in a quantum leap.
