MTV Set To Engage Youths With #MTVbump

MTV International, which spans 160+ countries and territories and 32 languages, announced that beginning today the youth brand will evolve from "I want my MTV" to "I am my MTV."  The network will celebrate its audience and talent by spotlighting their social media videos between programming on-air and across all platforms with #MTVbump, the first of many ways MTV will open up the brand to young people.  MTV's promos will take on a new look and feel,  experimenting with narrative structures and visual storytelling, they will be shorter, louder an hyper-visual.
MTV is basically hooking up the Internet to the TV set, and any Instagram videos or Vines shared on Twitter that you tag with #MTVbump are in the running to air around the world on MTV.
Everyone's doing it – Grumpy Cat, Rixton, Bros Being Basic, The Brothers Green and more have started using #MTVbump and their awesome videos are already on air.
"Being on MTV is going to be awful. I can't wait." – said Grumpy Cat.
"We love the internet, we love TV, we love
#MTVbump. Bump it up!" -said the Brothers Green.
Videos can be up to 15 seconds long and should be as creative, weird and wonderful as you like. Think party tricks, cat videos, your breakfast, parkour, playing the trombone – whatever you're feeling.
Visit www.mtvbump.com<http://www.mtvbump.com> to view videos that have already been shared around the world, and to check out a full list of
the dos and don'ts for getting your work on MTV.

Oh, and another thing – your social media handle will be shown with your video, so you'll probably get some new fans along the way, too.
More ways to get your work on MTV will be announced soon.
