Ondo State Earns Hosting Rights For BON Awards 2015


Plans have reached top gear for the 7th edition of the Best of Nollywood awards which is set to be staged in the month of December. The prestigious indigenous awards ceremony which has been celebrating excellence and professionalism in the industry by crowning the efforts of moviemakers and thespians alike who produce and star in feel-good and educative movies is upon us again with Osun State emerging as the new host after Rivers State.
 
That much information was made known by the Executive Producer of the awards Seun Oloketuyi in a broadcast message sent to his close contacts recently. In the message, he revealed that the governor of Ondo State has promised to host an unforgettable event in five months time.
"We are happy to announce that Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and the good people of Ondo State will host of this year's Best of Nollywood Awards. The good-natured medical doctor cum politician has promised to give Nollywood stars and stakeholders a ball and a blast during the awards ceremony which will be staged in December.
"Before a colorful audience comprising the cream of Nollywood stars including Segun Arinze, Yomi Fash Lanso, Alex Ekubo, Ngozi Nwosu, Ebube Nwagbo and Amanda Ebeye among others, Gov. Mimiko promised that BON 2015 would be the best ever," Seun squealed.
The last edition of the awards took place last year in Port Harcourt on October 16. The event was hosted by Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi and Fred Amata with special performances from Wizkid and comedy by Okey Bakassi.
