Among the long list of Nigerian celebrities who trooped into South Africa for the recently held 2015 MTV MAMA Awards staged in Durban, South Africa was YCEE, the up and coming rapper who happened to be in South Africa on a mini tour and decided to seize the opportunity to attend the prestigious event. YCEE was also in South Africa to promote his single "condo" which featured top dance-hall act Patoranking.
Seeing that his style of music (hip hop) is largely appreciated by South Africans, YCEE and his team tinny entertainment decided to exploit the ripe market. Attending the MTV base mamas was something surreal and he was dressed to kill regardless, even for a cameo appearance. He was rated amongst the best dressed on the red carpet by most blogs.
The NEA nominated act later performed live at cocoon lounge in Johannesburg South Africa. As the music icon D'Banj was celebrated in S.A.
On the night, YCEE opened the show with an energetic performance and D'Banj who won the evolution award at the MTV MAMA's was also very impressed by the stage craft of his compatriot. YCEE the condo crooner who just released a new single Jagaban is gradually carving out a comfortable space for himself on the Nigerian music scene.
