Red Summit Gala Night: 121 Media Icons honoured

As part of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of Red Media Africa honour was given to Nigerian media icons who have blazed the trail in the Nigerian media space for their work over the years at the recently held The Red Summit Gala night.

Media stalwarts such as Chief Olusegun Osoba, John Momoh, Mo Abudu, Biodun Shobanjo, Nduka Obaigbena, Betty Irabor, Amin Mousalli, Bunmi Oke, and Richard Mofe Damijo‎ among others were recognised for their outstanding achievement at the event.

"As we celebrate our 10th year in running a media business, we decided to honor these ones who have gone before us, these legends who created the path we walk on, who built the foundation we rest on, who have inspired many of us and that is why we say we stand on the shoulders of giants. We thank them!"‎ said Adebola Williams, Founding Partner, Red Media Africa.

It was also a ‎convergence of mass communication students from 6 universities across Nigeria as well as a number of young entrepreneurs at the campus edition of The Red Summit and at the SME 100 Masterclass.

The Masterclass was the third event organized as part anniversary celebrations. It provided an opportunity for young entrepreneurs to learn public relations strategies that won't break the bank. These future leaders also had the space to dialogue with media professionals while receiving invaluable insight to shape their career path.
