Justin Bieber isn't backing down
from his claim that he's single. When Ellen DeGeneres asked him on Monday’s
"Ellen DeGeneres Show" whether he was dating model Jayde Pierce, with
whom he was photographed in Bora Bora, he insisted that he's not.
"I'm not dating anyone,"
he said. "She's just a friend."
DeGeneres wasn't convinced,
especially because Pierce was present when Bieber, 21, was snapped walking
around their villa nude. ("I have friends, I've never seen them naked like
that," she said, as he covered his eyes. "And they don't bring me to
Bora Bora!") Later in the interview, talk turned to Bieber's ex, Selena
Gomez. Bieber admitted three songs on his new album were inspired by their
relationship: "What Do You Mean?," "Sorry," and "Mark
My Words." He also hinted they might get back together someday.
"We have a lot of history together so it
could possibly happen," he said. "I think we're both just on our own
journeys, figuring ourselves out and once we've figured ourselves out we could
maybe come together and make an awesome duo."
"I just want her to be happy,
honestly," he said of Gomez.
DeGeneres will have plenty more time
to pry into Bieber's love life in the coming days. The singer will be on the
show all this week, leading up to the release of his new album,
"Purpose," this Friday.
