Desmond Elliot and Transfast Brings Santa To Nigerian Orphanages

Prolific actor cum director as well as an Honourable Member of the Lagos State House of Representatives, Desmond Elliot, partnered with Transfast [through the company’s philanthropic arm, ‘TransfastCares’, which aims to donate funds to support customers, families and communities – particularly through education, youth and entrepreneurship] on a mission to bring Santa [or Father Christmas, if you will]—and the Christmas spirit—to numerous Nigerian orphanages.

Hon. Desmond Elliot and his Assistant, Event Coordinator Oroma, met with the Transfast team on Saturday the 12th of December at the Eko Hotel Sports Car, V.I Lagos for an in-depth discussion on how exactly to put a smile on the faces of orphans—by handing out various gift items, it was decided. The meeting also comprised a discussion pertaining to a possible partnership geared at empowering young entrepreneurs.

On Sunday the 13th of December, Hon. Desmond and Transfast’s Global Director of Marketing, Jay Vix, set off on their mission to put smiles on the faces of less fortunate children. The mission involved Transfast [including the entire Transfast Africa team], Transfast’s Santa Claus, Hon. Desmond and Hon. Desmond’s lovely wife, Victoria Elliot, at first visiting three orphanages—Living Fountain Orphanage, Lagos State Motherless Babies Home and Lekki and Peculiar Saints Orphanage. During the visit children received presents from Santa and donations of food items were given to the orphanages.

On the second day of the outreach, Monday the 14th of December, the Transfast Africa team joined forces with Victoria Elliot, Finger Licking Restaurants and a First Bank of Nigeria Executive as four more orphanages where visited—House of Gold Orphanages, Children Centre Idi-Araba, Correctional Center for Girls, Idi-Araba and Special Correctional Children’s Centre for Girls, Idi Araba.
In all, the mission was a roaring success, as Hon. Desmond Elliot, Transfast and Father Christmas managed to lit innumerable little faces with joy, making this Christmas one to remember for the often neglected and forgotten little orphans.
