About "How To Make It In Lagos"

In 2010, The CIA World Factbook estimated that 70% of Nigerians are living below the poverty line.

The Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo also corroborated the report when he stated in August of 2015 that over 100m Nigerians living below poverty line.

Yet another report says 2 out of every 3 Nigerians is poor. The pertinent question now is – How do we make it in Nigeria?

After Bata Media conducted a research, we found that the term,"Making It" differs in definition between the top 30% in the A and B Socio-Economic Class and those amongst the 70% mentioned earlier in the CIA Factbook.

Bata Media has since launched a Television show to expose career options outside of arts and entertainment in its acclaimed television series – Under 40 CEOs – www.under40ceos.com.

However, we find that Under 40 CEOs is not speaking to the demographics in the 70% who also aspire to "Make It."  For this group,"Making It" is about being able to earn income enough to eat, afford accommodation and clothing, get married, bear children and have enough to feed, cloth and send these children to school. Achieving these is termed"Making It" hence we focused this show on young artisans who started with little to no resources and are able to make a decent living doing what they do.
