This collaboration
between two of Africa’s hottest hip hop stars, Laylizzy and AKA representing Mozambique
and South Africa irrespectively, has kept #HelloLaylizzy buzzing. The song was
exclusively available on iTunes on the day of its release, topping the iTunes
charts in both countries. The craze did not only hit this music platform but is
continuously topping radio charts too, currently featured on the Top 40s of several
radio stations inclusive of the hottest youth radio station in South Africa,
YFM.
“Hello” continues
to make its mark at different parts of the continent, following its premiere which
also took a lead on the biggest radio station in Mozambique, Super FM and
playlist on the biggest radio station in Nigeria, Beat FM.
“Hello” was
produced by Ellputo and was inspired by Laylizzy’s hunger to push his music
beyond boundaries and that one wish from his Mozambican fans, which was to see
their idol, Laylizzy collaborate with one of Africa’s biggest rappers, AKA. AKA featured on “Hello”
in order to continue with his plan of increasing his reach across Africa
through collabs with the big stars from his targetted territories. He targeted
Nigeria with Burna Boy, Tanzania with Diamond Platnumz and is now going for
Mozambique with Laylizzy.
The masses
