Three Lagos landlords namely Mr Kenedy Ucheagwu; Dr. Omololu Bello and Mr. Esang (all property-owners at Oshorun Heritage Estate) were abducted by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.
Reports say the landlords had ventured to a recreation centre beside Lekki Gardens Estate, which shares a common boundary with Warewa and Wawa creeks in Ogun State, for a routine exercise when the incident occurred.
According to eyewitnesses, the gunmen in hoods and clothed in military camouflage announced their entry via the water ways at Channels Avenue in Isheri area of Lagos State, shooting sporadically as people took to their heels for fear of their lives.
An eyewitness simply identified as Adamu revealed that while others were able to escape, Ucheagwu, Bello and Esang could not as they were abducted by the gunmen who hauled them into waiting boats, whisking them away through the same water way that they came through.
“Those kidnappers stay inside that bush. This is the second time in three months they have come out to kidnap people.
“The first time they came, they took a man inside his house. But this morning, we noticed that two men stood at the end of road by the bush there”. Adamu added.
