Comrade (Dr.) Victor Ashaolu, the National President,
Association of Nigeria Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP) has tasked the
incoming President-elect Gen. Buhari to improve on the nation’s socio-economic
amenities, in particular the power sector.
In a release issued by the National P.R.O of the
association, Miss Atinuke Akindele, the ANTP President informed that, “with
Gen. Buhari’s victory, it is our belief that more focus shall be given to the
development of the creative industry and entertainment sector as a whole.
“We hold that the civilization of national development is
only attainable with the actualisation of policies which emphasizes and fund
the sustenance of arts, culture and entertainment.”
The release further urged the incoming elected political
office holders to deliver good governance and also admonished them to ensure better
representations of the nation, a basis for which they were elected.
The ANTP National President further urged them to extend
hands of followership to their opponents and likewise engage the services of technocrats.
The release urged them to be good ambassadors of the country and their various
constituencies.
