In what has been described in some quarters as one of the
biggest entertainment coups, famous Hong Kong actor and stunt artist, Chan
Kong-sang, popularly known as Jackie Chan is set to visit Nigeria on September
4, 2015.
The film director, producer and singer will land in
Nigeria to promote his recent movie titled Dragon Blade as a leading screen
character for the movie directed by Daniel Lee.
Dragon Blade is Chan’s latest work that has been released
theatrically in several countries of the world. It berths in Nigeria next
month, with FilmOne acquiring the theatrical rights to exhibit it.
According to the Chief Operating Officer of Filmone,
Moses Babatope, also starring in the movie are other leading actors such as
John Cusak (Golden Globe Winner), Adrien Brody (Academy Award Winner), Choi Si
Won and Xiao Yang.
Pointing that the film distribution company is pleased to
be the distributor of the thrilling movie by the veteran actor Jackie Chan,
Babatope said: “Certainly, he is a household name in Nigeria and indeed Africa,
having achieved great things in his career. Now at 60, when people think he should
be slowing down, the contrary is the case, as he has proven once more that that
age has nothing to do with reaching your set goals. We are proud to be
associated with this film and the Jackie Chan brand and we are confident that
it will do well at the box office.”
