Toyin Lawani reveals how staff was raped

Industrious entrepreneur Toyin Lawani who once fought and won a battle against fibroid has revealed how one her favorite staff was raped by a drunk security guard in a recent post on her Instagram page.

Toyin credited the victim Gloria who is deaf and dumb as one of the best tailors she has worked with but rued the unfortunate incident while also calling for more help for women battling with fibroid and other health issues.

In the post, Toyin decried the pain most women go through in the process of childbirth while also throwing more light on her fight for better health care and attention for women folk.

“When I look at life now, I cherish it more; I sleep at 6am everyday and I am off to work again by noon. It’s been a roller coaster affair up until my favourite staff Gloria got raped by a drunken security guard five blocks away from my place of work. While still tackling that, I took 29 ladies to see my doctors; I stay up all night talking to ladies with fibroid and in need of help. I take them to see my doctors for advice and for check up. They are educated on how to regulate their heavy flows, they help them determine if they need surgery or not.

“For ladies who can’t conceive, I take them to my IVF who has helped a lot of them as some of them now have triplets and twins. It is so sad what some ladies are going through; some are going through horrifying experiences just to have children. Kids are fruits of labour; I spent the last one week in and out of the hospital trying to help a lady through her recovery. Being a mother, I know how it feels and I have decided to be part of her recovery process.”
