Fresh
from emerging winner of the Best Male Artiste in West Africa category
at the recently staged AFRIMA 2015 awards YBNL boss, Olamide is getting
ready to drop his 5th studio album in 5 years and he is titling it,
‘Eyan Mayweather’.
Olamide
made the announcement via his Instagram page revealing that he’ll be
dropping his 5th album, on November 23rd, 2015 and the message got the
artiste trending on twitter. The forthcoming collection is expected to
feature hit singles like Bobo, Melo Melo and Lagos Boys.
Since
2011, Olamide has released an album every year in Rapsodi (2011), YBNL
(2012), Baddest Guy Ever Liveth (2013), and Street OT in 2014. In
addition, he’s also dropped a duo album with Phyno (2 kings) earlier
this year and impeccable sources say he will not feature any artiste on
his forthcoming album.
With
this move, Olamide, like the American boxer, Floyd Mayweather, appears
to be on a mission to conquer all by himself. Not needing any sidekick
to possibly take the shine on any track on the album.
