The President of Electronic Media Content Owners Association of Nigeria
(EMCOAN), Mrs. Debbie Odutayo, who is pivoting the umbrella body of Chief
Executives Officers (CEOs) of Content Owners in Nigeria, especially over 85% of
content/programmes on TV, Radio and Online in Nigeria, has announced the dates
and venues of 2017 EMCOAN CEO Business Seminar scheduled for Thursday 23rd
March, 2017 at ADNA Hotels, 28, Ladipo Bateye Street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos between
9.00am to 5.00pm.
EMCOAN CEOs Business Seminar has become an annual
event to impact positively on its members and as a way of galvanizing the body
in preparation for the business year 2017.
EMCOAN President, Mrs. Odutayo in her remarks said the ultimate importance
of the annual CEO Business Seminar is "to create an opportunity for EMCOAN
to further empower its members across the nation to be better prepared for
different challenges that the broadcast/media industry is facing as a whole
today. It is a platform for capacity building and strategic placement of the
body in the comity of the stakeholders in the industry as a whole", she
submitted.
Attendees at the seminar will have opportunity of maximizing from
experience of seasoned facilitators discussing the following topics:
1. Successful Distribution of Local Content on International Scale-
Challenges & Opportunities- Ijeoma Onah, Content Aggregator &
Consultant
2. Intellectual Property Matters, Brand Protection &
Anti-Counterfeiting.

In the word of the Chairman, Programme Planning Committee, Mr. Paul
Igwe, he said " for this year's seminar, our aim is to bring EMCOAN
members up to date with the right tools, systems and legal structures for
creating and delivering quality content. Interestingly, our facilitators are knowledgeable
in the area of Content Aggregation and Intellectual property matters as regards
content framework " he assured.
The CEO Business will also be graced by the EMCOAN Board of Trustee
(BOT) Chairman, Mr. Wale Adenuga (MFR) amongst other leading Independent Media
Owners/ CEOs in Nigeria.
