Omawumi bags mouth-watering endorsement deal

Fiery Nigerian songstress Omawumi has bagged a mouth-watering endorsement deal with Lifebuoy Nigeria as she has been unveiled as the brand ambassador of the product.

The sensational Afro-pop artiste who was named a brand ambassador at the official re-launch of the health care soap will now lead the campaign by the brand to help children adopt better hygiene practices.
Reacting to her new role, Omawumi expressed appreciation to the Lifebuoy brand while stressing the importance of good hygiene in maintaining good health.
“Basic hygiene interventions like this can make a huge difference to the current issue of child mortality, and it would in turn help improve the health and wellbeing of children especially those less than 5 years,” she said.
Speaking during the launch event, Brand Manager, Lifebuoy, Lanre Odupe, spoke on the brand’s rationale in selecting the artiste to represent the campaign, saying, “Omawumi is an excellent and passionate professional, a singer who is relatable to parents, guardians and their children. Being a mother herself she fully understands the need to address preventable diseases in Nigeria, and we are extremely delighted to have her on this initiative.”
Though details of the deal were not made public at the re-launch of the soap brand, but sources in the know say the contract signed by the artiste is worth the while.
