Urgent need to stem the scourge of sexual violence in our society -S.T.E.R

Stand To End Rape (S.T.E.R), an advocacy organization aimed at raising awareness about the societal effects and stigma associated with rape and sexual violence and winner of Best Use of Social Media by an NGO" at the 2014 Social Media Awards Africa, is set to announce the launch of its "BEHIND THE SMILE" campaign project in commemoration of the "Sexual Violence Awareness Month" (April 2016). 

"Behind The Smile" aims to create awareness on the social and psychological impact of rape, encourage rape survivors to break the silence and ensure they are able to access adequate help to deal with psychological issues. The campaign is to ensure rape survivors and acts of sexual violence are able to access adequate help in dealing with psychological issues associated with their disclosure. "Behind The Smile" is in partnership with ANAKLE Ltd, a digital media agency.

A big part of our campaign activities involve 
An emotional showcase event on third mainland bridge depicting rape survivors' bondage in society on Saturday, 30th April 2016.
